We’ve got some great news this week at Low Carbon Energy – we’ve been entered into the Burnley Business Awards! We’re truly honoured to be included, as we’ll be entering with some of the region’s highest-rated companies. The actual ceremony will take place in June the 29^th, and it’s already shaping up to be an extremely impressive event.

About The Burnley Business Awards

The Burnley Business Awards does exactly what it says on the tin – first and foremost, it celebrates the area’s most outstanding local companies. It’s jointly organised by Burnley Council and the Burnley Brand Scheme to promote the town’s business-friendly ethos, highlight the achievements of its professional community, and continue attracting new companies and entrepreneurs.

And it’s working, too. Burnley has established an incredible reputation for the scale and quality of this professional community – not just in the North West, but nationwide. Recently it’s been recognised as a North West ‘boom town’, and one of the best places in the UK to make a living. Not too bad, though we do say so ourselves! It’s known as a brilliant place for companies to build and develop business relationships, and network with other companies as they grow. This strong communal spirit amongst the professional community means that there’s a fantastic level of support and economic infrastructure for companies to make their name.

In short, Burnley is a exceptional place to do business, and at Low Carbon Energy, we’re immeasurably proud to count ourselves as a member of its professional community.

Where Does Low Carbon Energy Fit In?

We’re running in the category of Small Business of the Year, with all entrants in this category having between 5-19 employees. Judges will be looking at the level of innovation, the business achievements of these companies and their potential for growth.

We’ve certainly got all that here at Low Carbon Energy. Year upon year we’ve delivered tailored, highly efficient business energy services to our clients, helping them save totals of hundreds of thousands of pounds between them. This June, we’re once again dressing up smart. Like last year’s event, 2017’s Burnley Business Awards is a black tie event that will be held in the stately Towneley Hall and its absolutely fabulous grounds. And there are some really off-kilter elements that make the Awards unique, too. 2015 saw friendly garden sculptures, fancy-dressed foxes pushing wheelbarrows and a towering, talking robot. We can’t wait to see what this year brings!
