With land to play with and a desire for an eco-friendly, money-saving energy solution, Paul Findley, from Marchwiel’s Hollies Farm, decided it was time to give solar power a go.
"There was really no other option than solar PV. Not only does it help us meet all our financial targets, it also gives us peace of mind that we’re doing something great for the environment."Joanna and David, Franchisees, Bellingham Camping and Caravan Club
Having done his research, Paul already knew which company to choose for the job. He’d heard so many positive things about Low Carbon Energy the choice really was a no-brainer. Paul also had a good idea of the solar panel solution he wanted to implement on his land.
Taking advantage of all the space he had available at Hollies Farm, Paul decided upon a ground mounted solar panel system. This solar solution is the favoured choice of landowners as the mounted solar panel systems maximise efficiency and electricity output.
With the requirement for a ground mounted solution, Low Carbon Energy got stuck into planning the practicalities. Our experts had to consider aspects such as the framework, optimal pitch and orientation as well as the foundations. It was important that the panels tracked the path of the sun throughout the course of the day and across the seasons to ensure maximum benefit from the system.
About the newly installed solar panel system, Paul Findley says:
“We approached Low Carbon Energy because they came highly recommended – and from day one they were terrific. They organised the planning application and worked to make sure our very tight deadlines were met.
“As I travel a lot I had to trust in their capabilities and integrity and they didn’t let me down. I am delighted with the finished job at The Hollies Farm and would highly recommend the team.”
Ged Ennis, Director, Low Carbon Energy adds:
“We were introduced to Paul by another client. Paul knew he wanted a ground mount solar panel system so we undertook the planning process for him and worked out the most viable and efficient way to implement it.
“Once approved, we completed the installation in a week, despite appalling weather. We’re really happy with the outcome – the system not only looks great it is also delivering fantastic savings for our client.”
